I don’t have my printer driver – how can I install it?
If you’re using a Mac and do not have the driver for your printer, you can download it from the printer’s website and install it onto your computer. For example, here is where you can download driver software for Boca printers. Not sure which operating system you have? Click on the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen and select About This Mac to check.
If you’re using a Windows computer, the correct driver should automatically download during the installation of the printer. For more information on setting up the Boca Lemur printer on a PC, visit the Boca website.
What ticket sizes does FareHarbor support?
The default ticket size used in FareHarbor is 5.5×2 inches, but you can print tickets in a variety of sizes using ticket layouts. Learn how to set up ticket layouts.
Can I print tickets for multiple bookings at once?
You can print tickets for all bookings on an availability using the manifest. To do this, go to the Manifest section of your Dashboard and find the specific availability you want to print tickets for. Open the Print all menu below the availability name and choose the “Tickets (Boca)” option. Learn more about printing tickets.

Why don’t my tickets look right?
Sometimes, troubleshooting is as simple as turning the printer off and on again, especially when loading new ticket stock into your printer.
If you are noticing incorrect alignment when printing Boca tickets, you may need to adjust your ticket print settings. Here are some tips you can try:
- Use Google Chrome as your web browser
Make sure that your print settings match the following:
- Destination/printer: choose the name of your ticket printer (this may be set to a different machine by default)
- Layout: Portrait
- Paper size: This should match the size of your tickets (5.5x2in is standard)
- Margins: None
- Headers and footers: disabled
If the above options still don’t work, you may want to experiment with changing the Layout or Paper size. You can also manually adjust the margins by setting the Margins to Custom.
Additionally, you can adjust ticket layouts directly in FareHarbor. Learn more about using ticket layouts.
If you’re still experiencing issues, please contact FareHarbor Support so we can troubleshoot based on your setup.
Why isn’t the printer cutting between tickets?
First, make sure that the driver software for your printer has been installed. Even if your computer prints without it, the driver software gives your computer access to printer-specific functions, like the ability to cut tickets.
If you’ve already installed the driver software, you may need to enable printer-specific settings using the Print dialog. See below for instructions on how to do this.
For Macs:
- From the Print window, select Print using system dialog…
- Click the dropdown menu that says Layout, and select Printer Features
- Directly below the Printer Features menu, click into the Feature Sets dropdown and select Cut Options
- Make sure that the Page Cut Type and Document Cut Type are set to Partial Cut
For PCs:
- From the print preview window, select Print using system dialog…
- Click Preferences button
- From the Printing Preferences page, click the Advanced button
- Under Printer Features, make sure that Output Bin is set to Normal Mode
Why are my tickets blank or hard to read?
Often, blank or hard-to-read tickets are the result of a dusty printer head. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to clean your printer head on the Boca website or view a video here.
The more likely it is for dust to get in and around your printer, the more often you’ll want to clean your printer head.
What happens to bookings made before Boca tickets were enabled?
When you enable Boca ticketing, the changes are retroactive. This means that you have the option to print and send Boca tickets for bookings made in the past. If you’ve enabled ticket scanning, you will also be able to see QR codes on tickets for bookings made in the past, as long as QR scanning has been enabled for that particular item.

Troubleshooting printer and browser setups
Sometimes, troubleshooting is as simple as turning the printer off and on again, especially when loading new ticket stock into the printer.
While we usually recommend Chrome as the best browser option for ticket printing (because other browsers don’t have the custom margin option), we have found that sometimes Boca printers don’t interact well with Chrome (particularly when printing from a Mac). You can have the client try using another browser like Firefox or Safari, and if the tickets print normally, we may recommend they use that browser instead.
Troubleshooting with Chrome using a Mac
One issue we’ve seen when using Chrome on a Mac is that tickets will look correct in the print preview but print incorrectly (i.e. only a small part of the ticket content will be visible). If the client doesn’t want to use another browser, you can follow these steps to manually adjust the ticket size from the computer’s print settings.
