How to set up a Looker Studio dashboard for a client

Note: The Looker Studio template “AM Website Performance Template – GA4 2023” can be found on every analytics email on the Looker Studio platform.
How to set up your Looker Studio dashboar
- Access the Looker Studio platform from Google search or your bookmark.
Once on Looker Studio platform, sign in to the analytics profile to which the client is assigned from the top-right corner, making sure Looker Studio is logged on with the same Google Analytics email your client is assigned.

On the Looker Studio home page you will find the AM Website Performance Template – GA4 *2023 *. Click on the template. If you don’t see it there, look at the Shared with me tab on the left. If you still can’t find it, log into a different account and share the template with the account you need.

Once on the template dashboard, click on the three dots and select Make a copy.

A window will pop up to import your data source. Click on the drop-down arrow under New Data Source and click on Create Data Source.

Select Google Analytics. Then search for the name of your client, select the GA4 property and click on CONNECT in the top-right corner (make sure to select the GA4 property and not the UA property).

Click ADD TO REPORT on the following page.

Click on Copy Report.

- Click on Edit and Rename your report.

Check if the data source is correct. Click on any chart, a table on the right will appear, check the data source at the top left of the panel. Make sure all your charts are connected to the right data source.

To navigate the report in Edit mode, click on the Page drop-down menu on the top left.

To view and change the date range of the report, click on View at the top right and then change the date range.
