How do I block off a day on my calendar?
Last updated: November 21, 2019
Sometimes you may need to block off or hide certain availabilities on your online calendar. For example, you may be closing for a holiday or going out of town for a week. This can be done by updating the online booking status for all availabilities within the desired timeframe.
Watch the video below for a short guide on how to do this, or read our help page for a step-by-step guide on how to change online booking status.

Option to hide ‘Call to book’ availabilities
A new query ?bookable-only=yes can be added to the end of book buttons and embed links, hiding any availabilities with a “Call to book” status (this option will be included in the embed generator in the future).
Note: If you have multiple queries on a link or embed, be sure to start all queries beyond the first with an ampersand &.
Example:
https://fareharbor.com/embeds/book/exampleco/?full-items=yes&bookable-only=yes
full-items=yes is the first query, so it starts with a question mark ?. bookable-only=yes is the second query, so that starts with an ampersand &. Any additional queries would also start with an ampersand.
Why use this?
- Allows for more custom integrations: So if you have a calendar that shows all items and all availabilities, you may want to hide “call to book” availabilities (prompting people to book into activities that aren’t full yet), but on the item-specific calendar, you might want to show call to book avails (so if someone really wants that tour, they’re able to call and inquire about availability)
- Can help increase online bookings with ASN buttons/links. Currently they might be losing bookings and online booking fees when someone ends up calling the merchant direct. This update will show only availabilities that are technically bookable online.
