Troubleshooting
Disabling Email Verification:
When email verification is turned on in Smartwaiver, end customers will need to verify their email address after signing a waiver in order for the waiver to be completed. You can turn off this setting in the client’s Smartwaiver account by going to Create/Edit Waivers>Edit>Options>Emails. Uncheck the “Send a verfication email” box, then got to the “Publish” section and publish your changes.

Keep FareHarbor ID When Next Participant Signs: When a customer completes their waiver, they’ll see a button that says “Anyone else need to sign?” This allows additional participants in the party to complete their own waivers. Normally, when this button is clicked, the URL loses the FareHarbor ID tag (meaning the additional waivers won’t be populated in FareHarbor). However, there’s a setting in Smartwaiver that allows the URL to retain this information. In the client’s Smartwaiver account, go to Create/Edit Waivers > Edit > Options > Waiver Autotag and check the box next to “Retain autotag for next participant after waiver has been completed.” Remember to publish your changes.
Admin Error Emails: * For admin error emails that say “error from smartwaiver api”, check the message for “error” (which is likely “waiver not found”) and the “name” or “shortname” of the company * To fix, contact the AM (Account Manager) for that company and tell them to contact the company ad ask them to check that their Smartwaiver API key is correct.
