Social media and survey URLs
Last updated: March 20, 2023
To manage your company’s social media and survey URLs (links), go to the Settings section of your Dashboard, select Info & Policies, then go to the Social Media tab.
Social Media URLs
Entering your social media URLs in FareHarbor allows you to include these links in your follow-up emails to customers (as well as your FareHarbor profile page, if you have one).
Important: Make sure you enter complete URLs starting with http:// or https://.
Generating a Google Page URL
This URL will take your customers to a form where they can rate and review your business on Google. Learn more about Google reviews.
To add your Google Page URL:
- Go to the Google Places API.
- Enter your business name in the “Enter a location” field at the top of the map.
- Click your business name in the list that appears.
- Your Place ID will be displayed on the map beneath your business name.
- Replace
place_idwith your actual Place ID at the end of this URL: http://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=place_id Copy the entire URL and enter it in the “Google Page” box.

Follow-up Survey URL
You can also provide the URL for a follow-up or feedback survey that you control to be included in follow-up emails. For instance, you may use a survey-building tool to collect private reviews from your customers about their experience.
When included in the follow-up email, the URL will automatically be appended with a query string that includes information about the customer’s booking. You might use this to give people a separate survey based on what item they booked, or just to store the values behind the scenes so you can connect responses to bookings in FareHarbor.
Included in the query string:
booking: the ID of the booking. (Example:booking=123456)start-at: the Unix timestamp for when the booking’s availability started (Example:start-at=1429952400)item: the ID of the item in FareHarbor (item=1702)
The survey will be linked with a “Tell us about your experience” button in follow-up emails:

Internal-only content. Don't copy and paste to anyone.
Note: The contents of the Social Media tab will vary slightly depending on whether the company has company profile (shortname) pages disabled or not.

When profile pages are enabled, any social media URLs entered will be automatically included on the company’s profile page. Optionally, you can choose to include the URL in the follow-up email sent to customers, using the checkbox below the field.
When profile pages are disabled, the “Include in follow-up email” checkbox is no longer displayed. Any social media URL that has been entered will automatically be included in follow-up emails.
