Suggested items

Suggested items are a great way to promote your other activities to customers during the checkout process. They can be included in confirmation pages and emails, or in a customer’s shopping cart (if online orders are enabled) as shown below.

Suggested items can be set up in your overall Dashboard settings, or in individual items’ settings. Item settings will override the default settings, if used.
Setting up default suggested items
Default suggested items are used across your Dashboard, for all activities. However, you can always go into a specific item’s settings and change or remove suggested items just for that item. There are two types of default suggested items:
- Cart Suggested Items: These will be displayed on the checkout page of the customer’s shopping cart (only available if you have online orders enabled in your Dashboard).
- Confirmation Suggested Items: These will be displayed on the confirmation page and email after a customer makes a booking (note: only the first three items in a booking flow display in the confirmation email).
Before setting up suggested items, first make sure you’ve created one or more booking flows. In the booking flow settings, you can add custom text to show with your suggested items, for example: Here are some other activities we think you’ll like!
To update your default suggested items:
- Go to the Settings section of your Dashboard.
- Select Suggested Items from the sidebar.
- Choose a booking flow from the dropdown.
- Click Save changes.

Tip: You can also configure a Note to display alongside your Suggested Items by navigating to the booking flow you selected, then navigating to Page Settings > Suggested Items.
Configuring suggested items in an item’s settings
If default suggested items are set up on your Dashboard, these will automatically be used for all of your items. However, you can override these settings for individual items, if desired.
Changing suggested items for an item
- Go to the Items section of your Dashboard and choose the item you want to update.
- Select Suggested Items from the sidebar.
- Click Change next to the default booking flow (if you’ve already changed the default booking flow once before, you won’t need to complete this step).
- Select the booking flow you want to use for the item.
- Click Save changes.
Removing suggested items for an item
- Go to the Items section of your Dashboard and choose the item you want to update.
- Select Suggested Items from the sidebar.
Uncheck the box next to one or both of the following options:
- “Suggest other items when added to cart”
- “Suggest other items after purchase”
Click Save changes.
