Gift Cards report

The Gift Cards report can be used to gather important insights about your business, such as what outstanding liabilities you have or how many gift cards were created during a certain time period.

You can find the Gift Cards report under Reports > Advanced > Gift Cards. Here you have the option to create a new report from scratch. In addition to the settings available on other Advanced reports, this report type has a few extra options available to you.

Filters

In addition to the filter options available on all Advanced reports, a Gift Cards report also includes three gift card-specific filters: Balance, Creation Method, and Gift Card Type:

• Balance: Filter your report to see gift cards with no remaining balance, or gift cards that have a balance above zero.
• Creation Method: Filter gift cards by the way they were created, such as purchased directly from your gift card item, issued through giving credit, or created manually.
• Gift card type: Select specific gift card types you have on your Dashboard to show in your report.

Grouping

In addition to the grouping options available on all Advanced reports, you can also group by the gift card type (if applicable), as well as by the date, week, month, year, hour, or day the gift card was originally created.

Columns

There are specific column options available when you are creating a Gift Cards report. Many of these columns are self-explanatory but there are a few that might be particularly useful when running this report:

• Issued By: This column shows who originally issued the gift card. If a customer purchased a gift card directly from your site, this column will be empty.
• Notes: This column shows any note that was written when the gift card was issued.
• Creation Method: This column shows the way a gift card was originally created, such as purchased directly from your gift card item, issued through giving credit, or created manually.
• Balance: This column shows the current balance of a gift card.
• Original Balance: This column shows the original amount of the gift card when it was created.
