The Airbnb integration was launched May 1, 2025.
Airbnb Experiences is a global online travel agent (OTA) based in the United States. It operates an online marketplace and booking engine for accommodations, tours, and activities. Use the Airbnb API integration to manage Airbnb Experiences listings and bookings via the Dashboard.

Upgrading your listings to comply to Airbnb’s platform standards
Some actions can be taken to match your listings to Airbnb’s new platform standards and speed up their publication.
- Go to your Airbnb Listings page
- If you see listings that are Ready to Publish, review your listings and publish – Once published, be sure to add availability to be able to host guests.
- If you see listings that are Action Required, there are prompts on the top of your listings dashboard that prompt you for a next step.
Frequently asked questions
Why list your products on Airbnb?
Showcasing experiences via the Airbnb Experiences marketplace unlocks a wide array of potential benefits for your business. (Learn more about the benefits of and criteria to leverage Airbnb Experiences.)
Airbnb Experiences also allows you to:
- Set up new experiences in minutes.
- Easily add more team members and guides.
- Configure operator host profiles to share your brand and stand out alongside co-hosts.
How do I enable the connection between Airbnb Experiences and FareHarbor?
This integration can only be enabled by users with the Edit Dashboard features, company contact info, and FareHarbor profile permission enabled. Learn more about permission groups.
If you do not have this permission, please reach out to a Dashboard administrator for assistance with enabling this connection.
If you are already working with Airbnb Experiences, enable the connection via the Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Settings tab, then select Integrations from the sidebar.
- Navigate to the OTA Connections subtab, locate the Airbnb tile, and click the Connect now button.
- This will trigger a ticket in our support queue and a member from our Connectivity team will reach out to you with next steps.
Does the API integration include both experiences and lodging?
No, the integration only connects to experiences.
What information will be connected via API?
Please note: this timeline may be adjusted as we work through the integration between Airbnb and FareHarbor. Last updated June 25, 2025
- May 1, 2025: bookings information sync
- June 25, 2025: calendar and availability sync, cancellations, private group support
- If you have connected a Google calendar to your Airbnb calendar, availability will not automatically sync from FareHarbor until the integration from your Google calendar is removed.
Will Airbnb bookings receive FareHarbor’s emails?
Airbnb requires all communications to happen through the Airbnb portal and therefore does not send customer contact information through the API. This means that your Airbnb bookings won’t receive emails sent from the Dashboard, including automated emails and waivers.
No customer details will be synced via the API. All communications between the tour operator (host) and the customer must occur via the Airbnb portal.
Internal-only content. Don't copy and paste to anyone.
What kind of activities can be listed on Airbnb Experiences?
Ultimately, product and hosting approval comes from Airbnb. See client eligibility for more information about the types of products Airbnb Experiences is more likely to approve based on their focus areas. If clients are outside of their target market, clients will be put on a waitlist, but not rejected. If they’re outside of the category they are likely to be rejected.
Prioritized activity types:
- History & Culture (Landmark, museum, or cultural tours)
- Food & Drink (Food tours, cooking classes, tastings and dining experiences)
- Nature & Outdoors (Outdoor experiences, boat tours, water sports, animal experiences)

FareHarbor has no insight on this. Ultimately approval and timeline of that is up to Airbnb. Encourage clients to reach out to Airbnb support directly for more information.
How does calendar creation work in Airbnb?
Host’s Airbnb calendars populate directly from FareHarbor as of June 25, 2025.

In Close: Custom Fields > Dashboards > Connectivity – Live: Airbnb In the Dashboard: Settings > Affiliates > Airbnb > See permission level
How to get set up on the API?
If the client has already built products in their Airbnb Experiences account and would like to get them connected to their FareHarbor Dashboard via API, submit an API Mapping Request Form.

To request a mapping change, submit an API Mapping Request From.
Can Airbnb Experiences pull pricing from the FareHarbor dashboard?
Not currently supported. Coming soon.
Can a client have multiple FareHarbor Dashboards or multiple accounts on OTAs? How does it work?
We cannot connect multiple Airbnb accounts to one dashboard. We can, however, connect multiple dashboards to one Airbnb account.
How do cancellations and refunds work?
Cancellations/refunds must be initiated through a client’s Airbnb Host account. Cancellations will then flow through the API to FareHarbor.
How do amendments to a booking work?
Amendments (rebookings) must be initiated through a client’s Airbnb Host account. Rebookings will then flow through the API to FareHarbor.
Can a client have a different currency on an OTA than on FareHarbor?
No. The currency of their Airbnb Experiences account must match the currency set in the “Bank and Payments” section of their FareHarbor Dashboard. You cannot check the Airbnb Experiences currency as it is a backend setting that the account holder can view only.
Can Airbnb Experiences pull FareHarbor’s QR codes?
Yes, if a client has ticket scanning enabled in FareHarbor, a customer’s Airbnb Experiences voucher will include one FareHarbor QR code per whole booking.
Can we connect private tours?
Yes, we can now connect private group offers.
Can multiple language offers be connected?
Not at this time. We recommend that suppliers only add their most popular language option to their Airbnb listings while we work with Airbnb on a solution to support multiple language offers.
