Activity Label
The activity label should be set as the general category of what the company offers.
The activity label should be entered as lower case and plural.
This text will be used in auto-generated phrases throughout the site, like in the related activities section header or auto-generated for banner book buttons like “All Tours”.
Example: Common terms used in place of activities include:
- Tours
- Cruises
- Events
- Classes
- Rentals
Activities Slug
The activity slug determined the URL structure activities will be nested under.
This should be set here if the site has only one category that activities should be nested under and the site is only in one language.
Example: If a company that only offers cruises, the activities slug should be set as “cruises” and then the activities would automatically be nested as domain.com/cruises/activity-1 etc.
If a site will need multiple categories under which to nest its activities – something like “Walking Tours” and “Bus Tours”, don’t set the activities slug here and instead input “/” into the field. Doing so essentially negates this feature and allows you to control your URL structure by instead creating parent pages for each category. Setting parent pages allows you more fine grain control over nesting in your URL structure, but usually isn’t necessary for sites with just one simple category of activities.
Example: A company that offers Walking Tours and Bus Tours would want to have all walking tours nested under domain.com/walking-tours and all bus tours nested under domain.com/bus-tours. /walking-tours and /bus-tours would be created as single pages and the activities would have their parent page set to the correct parent. **
Activity Icon
The activity icon will appear by default on all your activity page book buttons.
If left blank, no icon will appear on the activity page book buttons.
To customize individual buttons with icons, create a custom book button under the activities button tab.
“From” Price Subtitle
To add the “per” label in the “from” price box on ALL activity blocks and grids (globally), go to Activity Settings > “From” Price Subtitle field:

If left blank, no subtitle under the “from” price on an activity block will appear.
Note: You do not need to set the “From” Price Subtitle globally to enable this for a single activity. And the field has an 11 character suggested limit.
Example of how it will display:
Need to set the From Price Subtitle on an individual activity
Need to override the global label on a specific activity? OR only need to add it to a specific activity? OR different “per” labels for each activity:
Go to edit the activity page. Under the pricing tab, there is a “From” Price Subtitle field. This will also override the global label set in Activity Settings if there is one set there.

Example of how it would display:
Activity Display Options
Select the “Don’t render “From” when showing an activities starting price.” to hide the word ‘from’ on activity block pricing.
Select the “Use the body font for the quick details header as opposed to the headline font.” when certain headline fonts (for example: scripts, handwriting) are less legible at smaller font sizes.
Select the “Enable branding for the Lightframe.” to display the company’s logo at the top of the checkout section on the lightframe for all activities – Globally. We suggest using this if the site is an Affiliate Site. This will add ” &branding=yes” to the url of the activity.
You can enable the branding for the lightframe per activity in two ways:
- if “Activity is Affiliate – Treat this activity as an affiliate activity.” is selected, the checkbox “Lightframe Branding – Enable branding for this activities lightframe.” will automatically be selected.
- selecting “Lightframe Branding – Enable branding for this activities lightframe.” under the Options tab.
You can disable the branding for the lightframe two ways:
- globally — deselect the “Enable branding for the Lightframe.” under Activity Settings > Activity Display Options
- per activity — deselect “Lightframe Branding – Enable branding for this activities lightframe.” under the Options tab.
Select the “Enable horizontal scrolling on more than 3 related activities: This property can be reversed locally on each activity page” to display Related Activities in a horizontal scrolling globally. It will scroll for more than 3 related activities globally.
- You can disable horizontal scrolling per activity page. Under Related tab > “Override global side scroll on featured activities: See current global setting option page here.”
All-Activity Page Header Image
The All-Activity Page Header image will display on the automatically generated all activities page.
Activities Display Order
This will be the default order of activities displayed on any activity grids and should be set according to which items are most popular.
Select items from the left column to add them to the right, and then drag and drop them to change the order. Anything not added to the right column will automatically be displayed last.
Exclude Activities
To exclude any items completely from the sites activities grids, use the Excluded Activities section. However, it’s important to note that simply adding an activity to the Excluded Activities section does not necessarily mean it will be completely gone from the site.
To completely remove an activity from the site, check that it has not been manually added to any activity grids, called out in custom blocks or slides. The activity can also be set to a draft, but this can cause SEO implications so be sure to double check that this is the right choice.
Featured Activities
To use the Featured Activity Grid, you must select 1-6 activities. The selected activities will automatically show in the following locations:
- 404 page
- No search results page
- Related Activities section on activity pages
- Featured Activity section on blog posts
You can override this on activities and blog posts by selecting related/featured activities for each post, or hide related/featured activities altogether by checking ‘Don’t show featured activities on this post.’
This grid can also be used throughout the site (a good place might be the homepage where you want to feature a few activities) by creating an activity grid row and selecting the ‘Default Featured Activities set in Activity Settings’ option.
Taxonomies
Taxonomies are a way of categorizing activities on the site. For information on defining and using taxonomies on FareHarbor sites, reference this help page.
