Price Sync
Last updated: September 22, 2025
The Price Sync feature uses automated updates to align site pricing with your Dashboard, minimizing manual adjustments and improving accuracy.
Price Sync may suit businesses that frequently adjust prices based on models such as:
- Seasonal price changes
- Frequent promotions
Overview
How it works
When Price Sync is enabled in WordPress, the system will automatically sync your Dashboard and site every day. Site pricing will be updated to match the Dashboard pricing associated with any active items, including retail items.
Although prices will automatically sync once per day, prices can also be synced manually if a price update must sync more quickly to the site.
Price Sync will automatically update the following site prices as needed:
The item-level From price

Customer type prices

Feature limitations
This feature does not currently support:
- Alternate or strikethrough pricing
- Activities linked to multiple Dashboard items (such as an activity listing using a booking flow, or packaged combos)
- Inactive events (such as feature events or timed activities that have expired)
- Custom pricing logic that is not supported by API (such as dynamic pricing)
Configuring Price Sync
Price sync is enabled at a site level, but can be disabled at an activity level for any activity that should not have prices synced. A specific activity’s sync enablement can also be updated later.
Enabling Price Sync
This feature can only be enabled by an administrator.
To enable the Price Sync feature:
- Navigate to the Settings section via the sidebar, and select FareHarbor Sync.
- Locate the Enable Price Sync option, and toggle the associated slider to enable.
Click the Save Changes button to finalize the update. Once the update is saved, the page will refresh and WordPress will populate the following changes:
- The system will identify and automatically sync all eligible activities.
- A FareHarbor Sync button will appear in the top admin bar. This button can be used to navigate directly to the Price Sync page moving forward.

A table of all available activities will populate on the Price Sync page.
- Activities eligible for Price Sync will be enabled for syncing by default, and display a green icon in the Last Status column.
- Activities ineligible for Price Sync will display a red icon in the Last Status column.
If Price Sync is enabled for an ineligible activity, a message that says
No API data found. Check FH ID and Shortnamewill also appear in the Last Status column.
A Sync Schedule box will appear on the Price Sync page. This box will contain key sync data, including:
- Last Run: The date and time of the last automatic sync.
- Next Run: The date and time scheduled for the next automatic sync.
- Frequency: How often automatic syncs are expected to recur. (Note: Automatic syncs will occur once per day.)
- Sync count: How many times prices have been automatically synced since the feature was enabled. (Note: Manual syncs are not included in this count.)

Identify which, if any, eligible activities should not be synced, and toggle the associated Price Sync Enabled slider to disable syncing.
Future syncs are scheduled to occur automatically every 24 hours, based upon when the feature was first enabled. (For example: If you first enable Price Sync at 11am, then the system will automatically run price syncs for all enabled activities at 11am every day.)
It is possible to manually initiate a sync if one should occur before the next scheduled sync. Learn more about manually syncing prices.
Adjusting activity-level sync enablement
Activity sync enablement can also be updated later. Explore this section to learn about enabling Price Sync for individual or multiple activities.
A newly-imported activity will automatically have Price Sync enabled if the activity is eligible.
Adjusting one specific activity
- Click the FareHarbor Sync button in the top admin bar.
- Locate the activity that should have its sync enablement adjusted using the Item ID and/or Activity column(s).
- Toggle the associated Price Sync Enabled slider to enable or disable syncing as needed.
Once your update has been finalized, the table will refresh to reflect the change. Updated settings will reflect on your site with the next automatic or manual sync.
Adjusting multiple activities
It is possible to enable or disable syncing for multiple activities as a bulk action, but enablement and disablement must occur separately. (For example: Enable syncing for one group of activities first, then disable syncing for another group of activities after.)
To adjust the sync enablement of multiple activities at once:
- Click the FareHarbor Sync button in the top admin bar.
- Check the row box next to all activities that should be enabled or disabled.
Select the desired action from the Bulk actions dropdown.
- Select Enable Sync to enable price syncing for all selected activities.
- Select Disable Sync to disable price syncing for all selected activities.

Click the Apply button to initiate a bulk update.
Once your updates have been finalized, the table will refresh to reflect the changes. Updated settings will reflect on your site with the next automatic or manual sync.

Can my site affect the prices set up in my Dashboard?
Price Sync is a one-way sync, which means that data syncs from the Dashboard to the site, but not vice versa. Dashboard price setups cannot be altered by Price Sync.
Updated prices aren’t appearing on my site. What should I do?
Updated prices should appear on the site within minutes of a sync being initiated, but may not appear if you are viewing an outdated version of the site.
- If you were viewing the site when the sync is initiated, please refresh your browser view to see synced price updates.
- If site prices haven’t changed after ten minutes, despite refreshing your browser view, proceed to Step 2.
Pricing updates may not appear if your browser is experiencing local caching discrepancies. Use a private or incognito browser to view the site.
- If updated prices appear as expected when using a private window, then the updated prices have synced and are available to customers.
- If updated prices do not appear when using a private window, proceed to Step 3.
Verify the activity is enabled for price syncing in WordPress.
- If the activity is not enabled for price syncing, adjust the activity’s enablement.
- If the activity is enabled for price syncing, proceed to Step 4.
Examine the prices set up in the Dashboard.
- Do the prices saved align with the prices currently appearing on the site?
- Is there any custom pricing logic (such as dynamic pricing or discounts) that may not be supported by Price Sync? If so, this may be the cause of the pricing discrepancy.
If you are still unable to determine why updated prices aren’t appearing as expected, please reach out to FareHarbor Support for additional assistance.

Scheduling controls
Scheduling controls are available to SuperAdmins only, in order to prevent clients from overloading API resources. Please use your best judgment when determining whether a client’s setup warrants a frequency update.
SuperAdmins can now adjust the time or frequency of automatic syncs. To adjust the time and/or frequency related to a site’s automatic price syncs:
- Click the FareHarbor Sync button in the top admin bar.
In the Time & Frequency section of the Sync Schedule box, use the fields to set how often and when Price Sync runs.
- Adjust what time automatic syncs should occur using the time field (clock icon). (Note: Sync time will run based on the site’s set timezone. A site’s timezone can be adjusted via Settings > General > Timezone.)
Set how often automatic syncs should occur using the frequency field. Frequency options include:
- Once daily
- Twice daily
- Every six hours
Click the Save Schedule button to finalize the scheduling updates.

Some states (such as California, New York, and Minnesota) require price consistency for compliance, but it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to ensure their setup adheres to local regulations.
What should I troubleshoot if a client’s site prices aren’t displaying as expected?
Confirm what, if any, steps the client has already taken to troubleshoot.
A client-facing version of these troubleshooting suggestions is available in the client FAQ section.
