Feature Overview and Value Proposition
FareHarbor Dock is a powerful booking point-of-sale-solution designed to effortlessly streamline in-person sales, elevate customer experience, and scale operations. The new app comes with 2 modes: Kiosk mode is a customer-facing booking interface that enables guests to independently book and pay for tours and activities. Staff mode is a crew-facing booking interface that is designed to speed up in-person transactions with a simple and touch-friendly checkout flow.
Kiosk mode
- Cut costs and boost efficiency: Free your staff from the front desk, allowing them to focus on creating unforgettable experiences for your guests.
- Reduce wait times: With a multi-Kiosk setup, distribute guests across stations and allow them to breeze through booking at their own pace.
Staff mode
- Bookings twice as fast: Complete in-person bookings faster with our user-friendly touch interface.
- Simple to master: Designed to maximize your staff’s productivity. Turn seasonal staff into pros with minimal training.

Troubleshooting as a FareHarbor Admin
If clients are asking for help in regards to how things are acting or looking on the FareHarbor Dock app, there are two ways to help troubleshoot this:
- iPad: If you have access to or own an iPad, you can log into the ‘admin’ Dashboard and will be able to switch to all Dashboards that have the advanced company setting: “Enable Point of Sale (POS)” enabled.
- MacBook: If you don’t own an iPad or have access to an iPad, you can download the FareHarbor Dock app on your MacBook via the App Store.
Demoing FareHarbor Dock to Clients
When Demoing FareHarbor Dock to clients, we want to make sure we follow the following best practices:
- Use a demo Dashboard instead of one in Production. If you don’t know how to access demo Dashboards on FareHarbor Dock, please follow these steps.
- If possible, try to use or update a demo Dashboard to make it similar to the client’s setup.
- Make sure the item(s) demoed have minimal custom fields to better show how quick and efficient FareHarbor Dock would be for the client.
- Use realistic names for bookings and try to make the Dashboard look as real as possible. We don’t want to show nonsense or unfinished item names, customer types, custom fields, etc..
- Connect a card reader to the app if you have one handy to better show the entire process that the client would experience.
- To make a booking you need the following:
- ‘Enable Point of Sale (POS)’ Advanced company setting enabled
- Bank account added in the Dashboard
- Location added in the Dashboard
- A connected EMV card reader
