Manifest overview
Last updated: January 7, 2025
The Manifest section of your Dashboard is a central, customizable place to view important information for each day. Here are a few examples of how you can utilize your daily manifest:
- Quickly check in guests for a tour (or view check-in status for an activity that already happened)
- Review all bookings for the day and make notes or changes as needed
- If using transportation, get a summary of pickup locations and times for your drivers
Similar to the Bookings section, the Manifest toolbar has many filter and display options, which determine what information you see. You can also save your settings with a custom manifest and come back to them at any time.
Click into the sections below to learn more.
General options
Before diving into the detailed settings, here are several general options to help with your day-to-day use of the manifest.
Sorting
Any columns on the manifest with small up and down arrows can be sorted in ascending or descending order, similar to a spreadsheet. Click the name of the column you wish to sort by, and the data will sort automatically.
Note: You can only sort by one column at a time.

Downloading
Click the Download
icon to download the manifest data into a CSV file. This file can then be opened in a program like Excel or Google Sheets.
Printing
Note: Any filters or display options you’ve set up will be reflected when printing the manifest.
Printing the manifest: Click the Print
icon to print your daily manifest. You may want to adjust the layout to Landscape mode if you are working with many columns. When printing information for multiple availabilities, resources, or pickup routes, you have the option to print each individual manifest on a new page. To do this, open the Display options
menu and check the box next to “Print each manifest on a new page.”Printing receipts or tickets: You can print all receipts or tickets for a specific availability using the Print all menu located below the availability header.
Receipts and tickets will be sorted by the contact name on the booking. To reverse the sort, click on the count at the top of the list (e.g. “52 tickets”).

Reordering manifest columns
Reorganizing manifest columns can help save time during the check-in process as well as provide custom manifest views for different roles within your organization according to their specific needs.
To rearrange columns in a manifest:
- Click Reorder columns in the manifest navigation.

- Select the column you’d like to move.
- Point your cursor at the top of the selected column until a hand icon appears in place of your cursor.
- Drag the column to the desired location.

- Click Stop reordering columns to save the order.
Note: Reordering manifest columns is not currently possible in mobile views.
Once you’ve reordered your manifest columns to your liking, you can save your settings as a custom manifest for future use.
To save your custom manifest order, follow the instructions on the Saving custom manifests help page.
Note: Your newly saved column order will be visible to all users when accessing the saved custom manifest and not limited to the specific user that made the change.
Viewing a related booking
When viewing the manifest, you can open a specific booking by clicking on the booking ID, the contact name, or the » symbol at the end of the row. (Depending on your view, you may not see all of these options.)
From the booking overview, you can take additional actions such as editing customer contact information, canceling or rebooking, or sending an email.
Date and manifest view
Choose the date and manifest view using the options located directly below the Dashboard Menu Bar.

These options are automatically reflected in the URL in your browser’s address bar, meaning you can easily share a specific manifest with other people at your company, simply by sending them the link.
Choosing a date
By default, the manifest will always display the current day’s information. To go to a different day, click on the date and choose from the calendar, or use the navigation arrows (« and ») on the right. Click Today to return to the current day.

Customizing the manifest view
By default, the manifest will show all bookings for the day, organized by availability. However, you can customize this view using the drop-downs next to the date.
The first dropdown determines the manifest view. Choose a view to organize information by availability, item, bookings, transportation, or resource.

The second dropdown allows you to narrow down the information displayed by selecting specific items, availabilities, routes, or resources. If nothing is chosen, then all possible options will be displayed.

Note: Depending on your Dashboard’s settings, you may not see some of these options.
Columns
Use the Column
menu to choose which data to display on the manifest. Your options range from basic booking information to detailed custom fields.
Basic columns
In the Basic columns list, you’ll see standard options included on most book forms. By default, only certain options will be shown on the Manifest, but you can add or remove whichever columns you’d like by checking or unchecking the boxes.

The Show customers toggle option displays the small triangle toggle to the left of the Booking ID. Click this toggle to see an expanded view containing additional information that may have been entered at the time of booking.
Custom fields
You also have the option to add columns for any custom field data collected through your book form. For example, if you’re viewing the manifest for a Luau Dinner, you can include a column for the meal preference that your customers chose when making their booking.

Tip: If you have many custom fields, your manifest may take a while to load. To view a simplified version of your manifest without custom fields, uncheck the “Include custom fields” box.
By default, only the fields applicable to the bookings for that day will be shown as options. If you want to see a full list of available custom fields, click Show all possible fields.
Shared resources
Add or remove columns for resources being used on a given day. If you want to see a full list of available resources (regardless of whether they’re being used), click Show all possible resources.

Filters
Filters can be used to narrow down the information in the manifest. For example, you may want to view only customers who have been checked in, or quickly find a reservation based on its booking note.
Use the search box or select from the available filter options to determine which bookings to show on your manifest.

In the example above, we are filtering the manifest to show only customers who have been checked in.
When navigating between different days, filters will stay applied until you remove them. You can remove any filter by clicking Reset at the bottom of the filter.
Tip: If you’ve set up several filters and want to quickly unfilter the Manifest again, click Reset all at the top of the filter menu.
Grouping
In addition to choosing a manifest view, you can further organize the manifest by check-in status or pickup using the Group menu.

In the example below, you see the “Availability” manifest view, and grouping by check-in status. This allows you to see the breakdown of how many guests have been checked in for each availability.

If using Transportation, see Using the manifest to view pickup routes for more details on grouping by pickup.
Note: Depending on your Dashboard’s settings, you may not see some of these options.
Display options
Use the Display options
menu to customize how you view the manifest.
Include empty availabilities
By default, when viewing your availabilities manifest, empty availabilities are hidden and will only become visible when at least one booking has been made. When this option is selected, all availabilities will be visible, even if they don’t have bookings yet. You may want to use this option if you prefer to manage crew or make bookings directly from the manifest.

Note: If you’re not seeing all availabilities for the day, check your filters to make sure that all the items you want to see have been selected.
Hide past availabilities
When selected, availabilities that have already taken place will not be listed.

By default, availabilities will be listed even if they have already occurred. Hiding past availabilities can help streamline your manifest view, as it will only include availabilities that are relevant to upcoming check-in processes.
Note: Hide past availabilities will prevent prior availabilities from appearing, even if they occurred earlier today.
Show availability note
When selected, internal availability notes will be displayed directly above the list of customers.

By default, the notes area will be hidden for an availability if no note has been added. However, you can choose to always display the notes area by unchecking the box “Hide note area if no note is set”. This is helpful if you want to be able to add new notes directly from the manifest.
Show summary row
When the show summary row option is selected, the manifest will display a summary of data (when applicable) directly below the column name. This is helpful, for example, if you want to get a quick glance at check-in statuses, pickup locations, etc.
Note that the summary row will only be visible for availabilities with more than one booking, and only applies to certain fields.

Summarize custom field answers
The summarize custom field answers option applies to dropdown and quantity dropdown custom fields used for individual customers. When selected, the customer responses for these fields are grouped together for each booking (for example: 2 experienced, 2 beginner). This is the default option.

When deselected, responses are split out so you can see each individual answer. This is helpful if you need to associate information like height or experience level to individual customer names on a booking.

Wrap text
The wrap text option splits longer text onto multiple lines within the manifest.
This option is useful when including a column for comments, or when printing a manifest that has many different fields displayed. When the wrap text option is selected, columns are narrower, allowing more columns to fit on one page (this is the default option).

When text wrapping is turned off, longer text will stay on one line.

Print each manifest on new page
When this option is selected, the manifest will be printed on separate pages based on how it is currently organized. For example, if viewing the manifest grouped by availability, each availability will be printed on a separate page.
Show item SKUs
When this option is selected, your internal item names (SKUs) will be shown instead. This may be useful if you have longer item names and use SKUs to shorten them in the Dashboard.
Show customer information
The Show customer information
option is located right next to the Display options menu. When selected, each booking will be shown in an expanded view, including all custom fields (whether they are for individual customer types or for the entire booking).

This can come in handy if you need to make quick edits to a custom field (such as adding comments or filling in missing information). Just click the
icon next to the field you need to update.
By default, this option is not selected.
Mobile-optimized manifest
When using the manifest on a smaller screen, such as a tablet or smartphone, bookings will be displayed as individual “cards” instead of a table. You can switch this view on or off by scrolling to the top of the manifest, tapping Show more, and selecting or de-selecting the Mobile-optimized manifest option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to resize the column widths?
It is not possible to resize the column widths in the Dashboard. However, you can download the Manifest to a CSV file using the
icon in the top-right corner, then open the file in Excel or your preferred spreadsheet program, and manage the widths there.
Internal-only content. Don't copy and paste to anyone.
Additional notes
Searching the Manifest
You can search the Manifest by booking ID, contact name, email, phone number, booking note, custom fields, last 4 digits of the credit card number, and credit card postal code.
Slow Manifest load times: Load availabilities Manifest by section setting
The display option Hide past availabilities can help improve the manifest’s loading speed. If there are a significant number of past availabilities, loading only future availabilities can result in a decreased loading time.
The advanced company setting Load availabilities manifest by section can be enabled if a company is experiencing slow load times when using the availabilities manifest Note that if they have six or more availabilities per day, it will be necessary to click Load on each section to view the bookings. Please reach out to @zackf if you have further questions on this feature.
Sorting the Manifest
We’ve heard some people ask if they can sort the Manifest by check-in time (for example, so they can board guests in the order that they checked in). This option is not currently available, but it is on our radar.
It is not possible to reorder the Custom Fields columns in the Manifest. (Note: Whole Booking Custom Fields appear first, followed by Customer Fields).
The first time a booking containing a Custom Field for that item, that Field will become the first column in the Manifest. Future bookings with different Custom Fields will appear in order they are received.
