FareHarbor Site Landing Page Onboarding Process for Sales Teams
Last updated: October 23, 2025
Often clients need an expedited FHS onboarding process. An FHS landing page (or pFHS – pre-FHS) allows clients to go live on an abbreviated version of their new FHS quickly and continue the full site build process afterwards. This typically reduces the FHS onboarding timeline by 75%.
To get the most out of the FHS landing page process, everyone (us and the client) needs to bring the same sense of urgency to the table. The client’s goals should be at the center of their onboarding experience so if they want to wait for some reason, it is best to follow the full site build process.
Eligibility
Clients must fit one of the TWO cases below to go live with a landing page before continuing to a full site build. There are currently NO exceptions:
1) The client does not already have a website and needs to go live as soon as possible to capture a busy season or particular event. Note: a rush from the client must be present to fit this criteria. A landing page is not an option for every client who does not already have an existing website. The FHS team needs a firm target go-live date from the client.
2) The client’s current website is hosted by a FareHarbor competitor and the website could be taken down at any moment if the competitor gets wind that the client is moving to FareHarbor, leaving the client without a website.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In this second scenario, the client MUST agree to go live with the full website as soon as possible (ideally within two weeks) of the landing page going live. This is to minimize SEO impact and preserve domain authority. This timeline is only true if the client already has a website.
If your client meets one of the above criteria, continue to the next section.
Approval by FHS Onboarding Team
A landing page go-live MUST be approved by a member of FHS Onboarding leadership before it is pitched to the client. To request a landing page go-live:
- In #fareharborwebsites, submit the workflow “Landing Page Go-live Request.”
- A member of FHS OB leadership will respond within two hours approving the request or not.
- If the request is not approved, the website onboarding will follow the typical process.
- If the request is approved, a PC or PM will be assigned. Continue to the next section.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- During this process, the AE will remain as the client’s POC. The PC will only be indirectly involved with the client. However, the PC/PM will be the main point of contact for the AE during this process. Responsibilities are as follows:
- PC/PM:
- Organize the information/assets procured by the AE from the client
- Build the landing page
- Communicate progress
- Assist in landing page go-live
- AE:
- Client comms including pitch and setting up for go live, such as getting domain registrar access
- Submits FHS intake form
- Gather the information/assets needed for the landing page
- Client:
- Assist in landing page go-live
Client Pitch & Terms
To go-live as quickly as possible, the FHS team can build a “landing page” for your business to go live on and continue with the full site build afterwards. It would be a one-page site; a basic homepage meant mainly for your customers to have a place to book.
There isn’t much customization or feedback opportunity, but this allows the FHS team to move fast. We’ll need a few pieces of information and as soon as we get that over to the FHS team, the landing page can be live in a few days. Typically the full FHS onboarding process can take up to two months.
The client must understand and agree to the following:
- THE CLIENT WILL START GETTING CHARGED ONCE THE LANDING PAGE GOES LIVE.
- The client will only start their direct relationship with the FHS team after the landing page goes live. After the landing page goes live, a Sites Project Coordinator will reach out to the client to schedule a Discovery Call and discuss the web design of the full site. The AE will remain the client’s POC in this phase.
- The landing page is not optimized for SEO. However, the full site will be.
- The landing page will follow this structure: landingpage.fareharbor.site. Customization is very limited:
- Elements that will stay the same: colors, font, look and feel (e.g. light overlay on the image in the hero unit), organization and layout of content (including CTAs)
- Elements that can be updated to match the business: logo, the large image at the top, company name, description, location, main booking flow, About Us content, gallery of images (if available), testimonials (if GMB is available), company contact info and business hours, social media links.
- Once the landing page is complete, the client will receive a preview from the AE. While the client gets to see the landing page before it goes live for approval, the Sites team will NOT take feedback about the landing page unless there is an error in content (About Us copy, contact email, etc.).
- The client will need to be an active participant in the go-live process. Jump to Going Live for more information.
- Once the landing page goes live, the full site build process that follows will take about a month.
Information/Assets Needed from Client (Collected in Next Section)

Complete the Landing Page Content Doc for the client (this is a template doc, please make a copy to complete for your client).
Send the Landing Page Content Doc to the PC/PM in the Slack lead channel.
- The FHS team will start building the landing page.
- Once the landing page is finished, the PC/PM will alert the AE in the Slack lead channel and share the landing page link (will be a temporary link until it goes live).
- Send the landing page link to the client, with the expectation that the landing page is going live that same day.
- Once we have client approval, we will start the go-live process.
Going Live Steps
End Result: Switches domain.fareharbor.site >> domain.com
To make the FareHarbor website live, the client needs to point their domain name to the new FareHarbor-hosted website. This is done by updating their domain’s nameservers (DNS settings) in their registrar account (for example, GoDaddy).
Until this change is made, the website won’t appear at their usual domain (like www.example.com) – it’ll remain hosted on the FareHarbor site staging link.
Why This Is Needed
Every domain has a DNS configuration that tells the internet where to find its website. Changing the name servers (or DNS records) redirects all traffic for their domain to the new FareHarbor site hosting. Once that’s done, visitors going to their domain will see their new live site.
Once the nameservers are updated, the landing page will be live.
PC/PM adds domain as a Cloudflare zone
PC/PM posts the custom Cloudflare nameservers in the lead channel, alerting the AE
AE sends the nameservers to the client and asks the client to log into their domain registrar, where the client will update their domain’s current nameservers.
Use the email template below:
Your landing page is ready to go live!
As soon as possible, please log into your domain’s registrar and update your domain’s nameservers. In the registrar, you will likely find this setting under Domain > DNS > Manage > Custom Nameservers.
Update the current nameservers to the two below:
Nameserver 1: (pasted from PC)
Nameserver 2: (pasted from PC)
Please confirm when you have updated the nameservers. The FHS team will complete the remaining go-live steps and your landing page will be live shortly!
Once the client updates the nameservers, alert the PC/PM in the lead channel.
The PC/PM will complete the remaining go-live steps and the landing page will be live shortly (ideally same day).
