What is Website Travel?
Website Travel connects 600+ agents to 3400+ tour operators, primarily in the APAC region. The platform continues to evolve to match the growth of the tourism industry, and ensure operators + agents are able to seamlessly manage customers, transactions, and the flow of money – in the currency of their choice. Tour operators are able to expand their reach to 600+ agents of major travel agencies throughout the region – and these agents are granted easy access to thousands of activities with live availability due to Website Travel’s API connections with major reservation systems.
What does a booking look like?
- Voucher number sets the desk (what they refer to as branch) based on the three-letter code at the beginning of the voucher number.
- The net rate gets set by Website Travel.
- Channel options (start times) get pulled from FareHarbor.
- Transportation gets pulled from FareHarbor and flows through the transportation custom field.
- Comments will have any additional info gathered in the Website Travel system.

How do cancellations, rebookings and refunds work?
Cancellations
Cancellation requests are sent whenever a booking is canceled, edited or refunded in the Website Travel platform.
These occur most frequently within 24 hours of the original booking request. But may occur at any time, including after the date of travel.
If FareHarbor cannot accept a cancellation request, the Website Travel Agent will then be prompted to contact the operator manually to complete the cancellation.
Rebooking
Website Travel cannot rebook bookings through the API. If a customer would like to rebook they should contact the agent directly and they will work with the operator.
Refunds
Any refund for a Website Travel booking needs to be initiated by Website Travel. FareHarbor clients should refund the booking in FareHarbor so their reporting is correct, but this does not actually initiate a refund.
How to get set up on the API
Pre Go-Live
For Sales
- The AE will gather commission info like any other affiliate and try to get the client’s Website Travel login as this will expedite the go-live process for their API connection.
- Clients can request a connection to FareHarbor here
- Here are the templates to use to send the client regarding getting set up on the API.
- If login is obtained, add it to the OB doc and if they do not feel comfortable providing login please note this in the OB doc so we are aware.
For OB/Channel Specialists/Support
- When building out Website Travel on the dashboard just use ONE Website Travel affiliate (either AUD or NZD) with the standard API cancellation policy and Affiliate – API permission group.
- Clients can request a connection to FareHarbor here
- Fill out the API mapping request form to submit the new connection. Note: You do not need to fill out this form if you just added the affiliate to the Dashboard!
- The Connectivity team will reach out to the client if there are any issues connecting or when they go live on the API.
How to make updates to the API/connect new products
If a client is inquiring about getting a new tour or new start time connected to the API, fill out the API Mapping Request Form.
