This page answers some common questions about using Transportation in FareHarbor.
How can I share pickup routes with my staff?
Why isn’t transportation information showing up when I preview an email?
If you are previewing a customer confirmation email for an availability in the past, transportation information will not be shown.
Try previewing the confirmation email for an availability that hasn’t happened yet. If you’re still not seeing transportation details, let us know.
How do I rebook a booking that has transportation?
To rebook a booking with transportation:
- Open the booking
Click the Rebook button, located under Booking actions

- Choose the availability you wish to rebook to, and click Rebook to here
- Make adjustments to customer types and custom fields as needed
Choose whether to match the pickup location (keep the original pickup location) or pick new options. Or, if transportation is no longer needed, select No transportation.

If rebooking to a different item or time, confirm that the pickup route and pickup instructions are correct

- Click Rebook now
- If the new booking total has changed, add payment or issue a refund as needed
Can I charge different rates for different pickup locations?
Unfortunately, no. You can only set one base rate on the custom field for transportation.
Can I limit which lodging options are shown in the custom field?
Unfortunately, no. If a lodging option is added in Transportation > Lodging, it will appear in the transportation custom field.
Can I have an AirBnB/Private Residence lodging option for people not staying in a hotel?
Yes, but it will not show up in the route as a pickup location with the address the customer entered. You will have to manually contact the customer who selected this option to confirm where and when they will be picked up.
Can I hide the room number input on the transportation custom field?
Yes, you can. To do this, go to the transportation custom field and select Edit field, then select the checkbox “Hide room number input”.
Should I place the Self-Transportation Notes on the Dashboard settings level, the item level, or on the lodging options?
We always recommend placing the self-transportation notes on the Dashboard settings level. This makes them easy to find, easily updated in one location, and ensures they will populate onto each item and lodging option in the Dashboard.
It’s important to note that lodging option self-transportation notes will override any notes placed on the Dashboard settings or item level. In addition, the item level self-transportation notes will override any Dashboard setting level notes. Lodging self-transportation notes will always show first, then item level notes, then the Dashboard level notes.
