Universal search bar
Last updated: August 7, 2025
This is a beta feature (still in development).

The universal search bar is designed to help you quickly locate functionalities and information in your FareHarbor Dashboard. It searches your Dashboard for the best match of what you are looking for.
For example, if you are looking for tax information, you can type “tax” in the universal search bar. You will get multiple options in the results and one of them will look like this: Payments > Tax Types. Clicking this result opens the Bank & Payments settings page directly on the Tax tab.
Some results may not appear while we improve the search experience. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please use the Was this helpful? link to send us feedback.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I do not have permission to access a result?
You may still see the page in the search results, but clicking it will open a Permission denied page.
Why does clicking a result show a blank page?
It’s possible that you do not have access to the page. Contact the Director or Manager of your FareHarbor account to confirm your permissions. If needed, they can enable access for your user.
What if I cannot find what I am looking for?
Try refining your search. For example, if you type “payment” but you are specifically looking for “in store payment types”, try adding more keywords to the search such as “store payment”.
I keep seeing No results found in my searches. What can I do?
If you’re receiving the “We couldn’t find what you’re looking for. We’re improving our search.” message, check for typos in your search. If your keywords are correct and you still receive no results, the search engine may not support that query yet as we’re still improving it.
Why is the universal search bar missing from my Dashboard?
The universal search bar is currently in beta and not available to all accounts. We are gradually releasing access to selected shortnames. If you are interested in testing the feature, please contact FareHarbor Support.

When will the search bar be available to all shortnames of all tiers?

What should I do if the search bar behaves unexpectedly?
Please create a bug report with as much detail as possible.
