Availability basics
Last updated: February 22, 2023
An availability is a specific date and time that an item can be booked. Once availabilities have been added in FareHarbor and made bookable online, your customers can start making reservations directly from your website.
Here’s an example of what your customers might see online when browsing an availability calendar:

In many cases, availabilities will have a specific start and end time, but you can also create “all day” or “day range” availabilities that span one or more days.
Learn more about creating availabilities.
On the backend, your staff will be able to view and book availabilities directly from your Dashboard. In some cases, there may be availabilities not visible to your online customers but bookable to logged-in members of your staff.

Bookings
The Bookings section of your Dashboard is a central place to view a summary of your current availabilities. From here, you can click on an availability to book into it or view its settings.
(Keep in mind that based on your Dashboard settings and filters, your view may look different than the one below.)

Item calendars
Each item you offer also has its own calendar of availabilities. This is where you’d go if you wanted to create new availabilities for your customers to book.
Click on an availability in the item calendar to open its settings or go to the detailed manifest for that specific time. If you want to create an availability that is similar to one that already exists, you can also duplicate an availability directly from the item calendar.

Manifest
The manifest provides a detailed look at one or more availabilities taking place on a specific day. For each availability, you can view related booking information, check in guests, make changes to existing bookings, and add new bookings.
Click Actions & Settings (look for the gear
icon) to open the availability’s settings. This is where you can make changes to capacity, start time, headlines, and more.

Tip: If you’re viewing the manifest on a mobile device, tap the small triangle next to the availability name, then tap Actions & Settings to open the availability.
