Working with availability prices
Last updated: November 29, 2023
Note: We do not recommend updating pricing for specific availabilities, as this can conflict with price schedules, invoice sheets that have been configured for affiliates, and price schedules with dynamic rules.
Before updating pricing using the availability updater, reach out to FareHarbor Support.
Adjusting pricing for a specific availability
In some cases, you may only need to adjust pricing for a specific availability (for example, a 3pm tour on a holiday). This can be done from the availability’s advanced settings. Watch a short demo video or follow the steps below.
- Find and open the availability you want to update.
- Next to Availability actions, click Advanced, then Prices.
Click on the link “Change just for this availability”.
Tip: If you have many customer types, you can use the Filter pricing menu in the top left to search for a specific customer type.
Select which price sheet to use (learn more).
- Click on the price you wish to update.
- Make sure the dropdown menu is set to Change.
- Enter the new price and click Save.
- Repeat steps 4-7 for any other customer types you want to adjust.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will price changes affect my existing bookings?
No; bookings that have already been made will not be affected by price changes. If you change a price and want that change to be reflected on an existing booking, you have two options:
- Rebook the customer (this will create a new booking)
- Reprice the booking to adjust the booking total and add/refund payment as needed
How can I make price changes to a custom field?
This can be done in the custom field’s settings. Or, if you need to change a field’s price for a specific item, you can do so from the item’s Options & Prices.
How do I know which price sheet to choose?
In most cases, you’ll want to update the Base sheet, which determines the default prices and visibility for the customer type or custom field you’re updating.
However, in some cases you might want to make a more specific change:
- If you want to update online pricing or visibility only, choose the Online sheet. If you have more than one Online sheet, the one closest to the top of the list will be reflected on your website.
- If you want to update pricing or visibility only for logged-in Dashboard users making direct bookings, choose the Direct sheet.
- If you work with affiliates and want to update pricing or visibility specifically for affiliate bookings, make sure to choose the appropriate affiliate price sheet before making your change.
Note: Price sheets are customizable, so your sheets may differ from the ones mentioned here. If you’re not sure which price sheet you should be updating, please reach out to FareHarbor Support.

We usually recommend changing the price for a customer type at the item level. This ensures that the price is then reflected on all availabilities for that item (unless any of them have been overridden).
