About Timed Activities

Timed Activities are activities that have a date range and a fallback activity. Adding timing to an activity is ideal for one time events, holiday or seasonal activities.

How to Set Up

• Visit the Timing tab on the back end of an activity.
• Check the “Set a start and end date for this activity” checkbox
• Fill in the required Fallback Activity, and Timed Activity Date Range. Note: You can select more than one date range (date ranges are defined in company settings)

How to Use

• Add the timed activity anywhere where you can use an activity
  • Single Activity Block
  • Activity Slide
  • Featured Activity
  • Activity Grid
  • Related Activities
• The activity will appear when within its assigned date range(s) and the fallback activity will appear all other times
• We check for duplicate activities in grids so don’t worry if your fallback activity already appears in a grid that your timed activity is in. It simply won’t appear when outside of its scheduled time.

How to NOT Use

• Do NOT use a timed activity in Jumbotron Row
• Do NOT use a timed activity in any type of custom activity block
• Basically avoid using the activity anywhere that you are not selecting an activity from a dropdown of other activities on the backend.
