Making bookings with resources

When creating a booking that will require resources, you can review and adjust which resources will be used directly from the book form.
Note: By default, all company users (except those with the “guide” permission group) can change resources on a booking. Affiliates do not have the ability to change resources. Learn more about permissions.
Choosing resources
Resources will automatically be assigned to a booking based on the requirements set up for that item (Item > Options & Prices > Required resources).
Once a selection has been made that requires resources, you’ll see a “Resources” menu appear at the top of the book form. Click to open the menu and view the booking’s resource uses.
If more than one resource option is available, you can adjust which resources will be used by clicking Change resources.
In the below example, every customer will be given either a basic or premium mask. Because these resources can be split among different individuals on the booking, you have the ability to select both options, or just one. When both options are selected, the first available resource will be used until it runs out, in which case the second will be used (and so on, depending on how many options there are).
Additionally, there are two boat options available, the Wharram Pahi 42 and the Wharram Tiki 30. The default selection will be used automatically unless a different option is chosen.
If needed, click Reset to go back to the default resource options.
Overbooking resources
A warning will be shown in the book form if the booking will overuse resources. Click on the warning to see which resource(s) will be overused.
Dashboard users with permission to overbook can still complete a booking with these warnings, but if you have limitations based on resources, we recommend making sure that you can accommodate everyone who has been booked.
