Amazon Web Services

FareHarbor is hosted on the industry-leading Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform, which powers many popular and widely-used services, including Expedia, Netflix, and Airbnb. Within AWS, we maintain multiple redundant load balancers and application servers across several physical locations to ensure the scalability and reliability of the website.
We can easily scale the number of servers to accommodate increased demand or handle hardware failures as needed. Furthermore, our databases are replicated to a number of backup and reporting servers in real time, again across multiple physical locations.
We also capture a daily snapshot of all our production data as well as maintain a streaming replication to a separate region. What this means is that even if there were a major incident that affected two different data centers in California, we would not lose any data because we also stream everything in the eastern US. All of this ensures the safety and accessibility of our customers’ data.
