Firewall and network settings

In order to accept payments, you must ensure that your local internet settings are compatible with your payment processor. If Stripe is the payment processor on your Dashboard, please confirm the following firewall and network settings are configured correctly in order for payments to be processed (if you’re not sure what your payment processor is, reach out to FareHarbor Support or your Account Manager).
Firewall settings
A firewall is a network security system that monitors and controls incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules.
You are not required to have a firewall to accept payments using FareHarbor, but if you do utilize one on your company’s network, certain firewall settings can prevent your network from communicating correctly with Stripe to accept payments.

Wireless network configurations
In addition to firewall settings, there are wireless network security and band types that are supported for processing payments. Note the following supported types in order to efficiently process payments:

Please make note of the following unsupported wireless network configurations:

- WPA2-EAP-PSK
- WPA3-Enterprise
- WPA3-Personal
- Unsupported band types:
- 5ghz/2.4ghz Combined
