How to Upload Custom Fonts
Last updated: June 6, 2025
Users are now able to upload custom fonts in WordPress to apply to their FareHarbor site. Follow the steps below in order to ensure a successful upload of custom font files.
Step 1
In the WordPress backend, navigate to the left sidebar menu, and click the following: Appearance > Look & Feel > Fonts. There is a new button called Use Custom Fonts and by default, that button will be set to no.

When you switch the button to yes, you will see two sets of fields pop up for the custom headline font and the custom body font.

Step 2
You will need to upload a woff or woff2 file. If the user only has a file type like otf or ttf, there is a tool linked to convert them under the section titled Custom Body Font File. Click the Add File button to upload, then click save.

Step 3
After you save, return to the previous screen where you will need to enter the name of the font file. It is also recommended to select the weight/style from the drop down if it is not the default of 400 normal.
Then click update when you’ve got everything uploaded and filled out for custom headline and/or custom body font.

Step 4
After you’ve updated the WordPress font settings, navigate to the desired website page, and conduct a hard refresh to see the new custom font(s) on the page.
