Cards
Last updated: May 22, 2025
Cards allow virtually anything to be showcased in the style of an activity grid. The applications could include:
- Employees’ photos and info for Bio pages
- Vehicles used during an ATV tour
- Famous landmarks that may be visited on the tours
- Any other items that may be categorized with some supplemental information
Cards functionality should not be used for activities whether they are offered on FareHarbor or not.
If you have activities that are not bookable on FareHarbor, create an activity page and set that activity as call to book. This will help with SEO and you will be able to use activity grids to display information if needed.

The Process
In the backend of WordPress, click on the menu named “Cards,” which is located beneath Activities.

A new card can be added by clicking the button at the top of the screen. A card can contain the following information:
- Title
- Subtitle
- Image
- Paragraph Description
- Custom Info (single line, denoted with an icon. Can use multiple per card)
- Could be used for email address, phone number, calendar date of past event, etc.
After each card is created, it can be added to one or more collections. These function similarly to taxonomies, in that a collection can be called on in a Card Grid row type.

How to Display on Your Site
There are 3 new places in which you can display your cards.
Card Grid (as a Row)
- A Row type that allows the builder to call on individual cards manually or by taxonomies. This can be useful if displaying the employee biographies for those only working at a specific location. If a new card is added for a new employee working at that location, they will automatically be featured in the grid based on them being added to the collection.
- The settings in the grid are related to the number of cards that should be displayed. The options are 2, 3, 4, or Auto.
Card Grid (as a Content Block)
- Functions the same as a card grid row type, but it could theoretically be used in a 2 column grid as a content block, side by side with other content.
Single Card (as a Content Block)
- Shows one individual card within a multicolumn row.
