Custom Field Use report
Last updated: February 21, 2019
The Custom Field Use report is a legacy report. We recommend using the Custom Field Answers report instead, which you can find in the reports menu under Advanced > Custom Field Answers. Learn more about Advanced reports.
The Custom Field Use report gives you an overview of how a custom field was used on bookings within a specific date range.
To locate this report, navigate to the Reports section of your Dashboard. The Custom Field Use report will be located in the Reports menu, under Summary Reports.
Filter options

Choose which custom field to report on by using the Custom field dropdown in the Filters menu. Currently, custom field use reports can be run for the following types of fields:
- checkbox
- dropdown
- quantity dropdown
- code generator
You also have the option to choose which cancelled bookings you want to include (by default, the report will include non-refunded cancelled bookings).
Report columns
- Uses: The number of times the custom field option (displayed in the leftmost column) was used.
Bookings used on: The total number of bookings the option was used on. Remember that custom fields can be added to one booking multiple times by making them per-customer.
Example: Let’s say you have a checkbox custom field set up to be per-customer. If there was only one booking being reported on and that booking had 5 customers, you would see “5” in the Uses column but “1” in the Bookings used on column.
Price breakdown: Read more about these columns.
Internal-only content. Don't copy and paste to anyone.
For Dashboards created on 2/22/2017 and after, this report will be hidden by default, along with all other legacy reports.
To enable or disable legacy reports, go to Settings > Info & Policies > Advanced. Click edit and check/uncheck the “Enable legacy reports” box.
Legacy ‘option’ custom field data
As of 2/14/2019, we no longer support option custom fields within the code. As such, you can no longer view this data in Custom Field Use reports. However, you can view the data in a Custom Field Answers report.
