Using Biometrics with your Android device
Biometrics are a simple and secure way for Android device users to unlock the FareHarbor mobile app to enforce data security. Logging in using biometrics is as simple as using your registered fingerprint on the device.
Using biometrics is not recommended for users sharing the same mobile device. If multiple users’ fingerprints are stored on the device, then the app cannot correctly identify between them. As a result, the app will recognize the biometric as valid, and another user could connect to your account.
Before you begin
- You must have version 1.11 or higher of the FareHarbor app installed on your mobile device. To locate the version number, tap Settings in the lower-right corner of the toolbar and scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Please make sure that biometrics are enabled in your device’s settings before going through the setup steps in the FareHarbor mobile app. In addition, some older Android devices may not support this feature. Check your device manufacturer’s support website for more information, if required.

- when it is closed.
You can change the time limit for locking the app by tapping on the Settings icon in the lower-right corner of the toolbar, then by tapping Biometrics Settings and selecting the desired duration (or enable only for login).
