General Settings

The general settings can be found in WordPress on the left-hand sidebar menu, under “Settings” -> “General.” This page allows you to set up the site title, tagline, admin email, language and time zone. Once it has been set and created, it is unlikely you will ever need to edit this page.

Site Title

The site title is the name of the company.

Tagline

The tagline is a short sentence about what the company does. Best Practice: The tagline should include location and/or activity keywords for SEO.

Administration Email AddressEmail Address

This is the Admin email for the site. It should be a FareHarbor email address.

Site Language

The site language is the primary language of the website.

Timezone

The timezone should be set to the timezone where the business is located.

Date and Time Format

The date and time format should be set to the preference of the country the business is located in.

Week Starts On

Monday is the default.
