vQuip integration
Last updated: April 16, 2024
vQuip coverage options are only available for U.S.-based businesses.
FareHarbor integrates and partners with vQuip. vQuip aims to simplify and enhance access to insurance products in specialty markets (such as boat rentals) by providing innovative risk management and insurance technology solutions.
vQuip offers rental insurance policies in the renter’s own name for the duration of the rental.
Please reach out to the Account Management team if you’re interested in using vQuip.
Overview
vQuip provides insurance benefits that can be helpful to rental operators who may have limited commercial insurance options. This partnership can be particularly beneficial to:
- Full-service marinas
- Standalone watercraft rental facilities
- Businesses that offer powersports and/or golf cart rental operations
vQuip coverage includes:
- Third-party liability (bodily injury and property)
- Damage waiver (for vessel or unit damage)
- First party medical payments
- Fuel & spill liability
- Emergency towing & services
- Watersports liability
vQuip could benefit your business by:
- Introducing short-term renter’s insurance for watercraft and powersport rental operators.
- Reducing the risk of uninsured renter incidents, potentially lowering commercial insurance claims and premiums.
- Encouraging safer operations, which can lead to premium reductions and better insurance options through vQuip’s partnerships.
- Offering operators connections with specialist agents and carriers familiar with the marine and/or powersports markets.
- Providing operation-friendly requirements and workflows for your business.
Coverage options
Offer mandatory or optional coverage
- Operators can determine whether the insurance is optional or mandatory for renters.
- If mandatory, insurance costs can be incorporated into rental prices.
- If optional, renters can select insurance during registration that will be charged upon vessel launch.
Coverage scope
Insurance can be applied to various watersports and powersports vehicles, including houseboats, sailboats, snowmobiles, ATVs, and more.
