Customers report
Last updated: January 12, 2024
The Customers report can be used to view detailed information about your customer types in FareHarbor. For example, you could use this report to see your weekly revenue broken down by Adults, Children, and Members, or to see which month Private Charters are most frequently booked.
Locate this report under Reports > Advanced > Customers. Here you have the option to create a new report from scratch, or use the suggested Customer Types report to quickly view a summary of customer types organized by item.
In addition to the settings available on other Advanced reports, this report type has a few extra options to be aware of.
Filters
For detailed information about how to use filters, see this page.
In addition to Bookings filters like Cancelled Status and Source, the Customers report includes several additional filters:
Check-in Status: Filter your report by customer check-in status. Check None to see customers without a check-in status, or Any to see customers marked with any status. Or, choose one or more specific statuses to filter by.
Checked In By: Choose any, none, or a specific user to see who performed the check-in
Custom Field: Filter report data by customer-level fields, such as Height or add-on purchases. You can filter by as many custom fields as you wish. After choosing a custom field, determine how to filter your data:
- Any value: Shows every instance the custom field appears, whether it was filled out or not
- When selected: Shows every instance in which the custom field was filled out (if a text input or dropdown field) or checked (if a checkbox)
- When not selected: Shows every instance in which the custom field was not filled out (if a text input or dropdown field) or was unchecked (if a checkbox)
- When a specific value is selected: For text input, code, or dropdown fields, you can filter by a specific value. For example, you can filter your report to only show when a specific promo code was entered.
Customer Type: Select which customer types to report on, whether it’s Adults, Children, private charters, or any other customer type you use.

Grouping
Though you can group all Advanced reports by Check-in Status and Checked In By, the Customers report has several unique options to further dive into check-in data using Check-in Date, Check-in Week, Check-in Month, Check-in Year, Check-in Hour, and Check-in Day.
Columns
For detailed information about how to add columns to a report, see this page.
When choosing columns for your report, you can add both customer columns and booking columns.
For example, when reporting on revenue, you may want to see how much money was collected for individual customer types, as well as total revenue from all related bookings. This can be done by adding the Subtotal, Tax, and Total fields for both customers and bookings.
You can also add columns related to check-in data to your report, such as Check-in Status, Check-in Date, and Checked In By.
Note: Data for when a check-in occurred and who performed it is available for bookings starting on February 10, 2021.
When viewing the generated report, these columns will be clearly marked under Customers and Bookings.

The # of Pax column shows how many of that specific customer type were booked in the specified date range.
