What is my card statement text?
Last updated: September 24, 2020
Your card statement text is the text that appears on a customer’s bank statement for their booking with you. Typically, this text will be the name of your business, which lets the customer easily identify their purchase.
Viewing your statement text
To view your statement text, go to the Settings section of your Dashboard and choose Bank & Payments from the menu. Next to the Payment Setup Checklist you’ll see your card statement text.

Updating your statement text
If you want to make a change to your statement text, contact FareHarbor Support with your desired update.
Tip: To minimize the risk of disputes, make sure your statement text can be clearly associated with your company. If a customer doesn’t recognize a payment on their bank statement, they’re more likely to dispute the charge.
Additional notes
- The maximum length for your card statement text is 18 characters.
- In rare cases, it’s possible for this text to be overwritten by a cardholder’s bank or payment processor, especially if the statement text is something other than your business name.
Internal-only content. Don't copy and paste to anyone.
To update card statement text, go to Advanced company settings > Payments, and enter your desired statement text in the appropriate field, then select Save.
- This text can be viewed by Dashboard users, but can only be edited by FH Admins.
- To minimize the risk of disputes, make sure this text can be clearly associated with the company (the name of the company is usually best).
