Adding Cookie Pro to FareHarbor Sites

Cookie Pro is FareHarbor Sites’ preferred GDPR compliance partner, available at a discount to current clients who purchase service using the code “FareHarbor”. This document guides Live Site Specialists on how to generate the code needed from Cookie Pro to enable service on a FareHarbor Site.

Integrating Cookie Pro
There are three major steps to integrating Cookie Pro to a FareHarbor Site.
- Accessing Cookie Pro with Client Credentials
- Customizing Cookie Pro settings
- Implementing the Cookie Pro script
1. Accessing Cookie Pro with Client Credentials
After receiving the credentials from the client, login to their account at cookiepro.com. Once you’ve gained access, follow the steps below.
- Click Cookie Consent.

- Go to Websites.
- Click Add Website.
- Add the domain needed without subdomains. No www, https, etc.

Click Scan and Configure.
a. If it’s a free account, it can only scan up to 500 pages.
Click on Default Audiences.
a. Select GDPR audience for EU websites.
b. Select Global audience for all non-EU websites (including Britain).
Select global and banner, confirm settings.

2. Customizing Cookie Pro Settings
Activating Cookie Pro’s scan of the FareHarbor Site may take a while. In the meantime, add the logo and color code.
- Click on the domain name in the Websites page.
- Click on Branding.
- Click on Template and select Override Template Styling.

- Click on Preference Centre Styles and upload the logo of the client.

Fill in Button Color with the same color code as the buttons on the FareHarbor Site.
Leave everything else to be white by default.
3. Integrating into the FareHarbor Site
Once the scan from step one has completed, the code necessary to place Cookie Pro on the website can be generated.
- Click on the domain name in Websites.

You should see a chart similar to above if the scan has completed.
Click on Publish in the top right corner.
a. Select the most recent version of the script, if not preselected:

If there are multiple languages to the site, select available languages and continue.
Click the expanded menu (three dots in the top-right corner).
Select Copy Production Script.
Take the value after ‘data-domain-script’ that is in quotations.

Add the content copied from above and add to the backend of the FareHarbor Site:
a. Navigate to Privacy Settings.
b. Select Cookie Pro in the Cookie Consent Solutions field
c. Paste the content into the Cookie Pro field.
d. Select the option to the right that you could find in the script.
