Company tier settings
Last updated: May 24, 2022
A company’s tier is based primarily on its size and the amount of online booking revenue it generates. Tiers range from 0-5, with Tier 5 companies being FareHarbor’s largest clients. Learn more about how tiers are determined.
Viewing or editing a company’s tier
From the company’s Dashboard, type Shift + ? to open the admin notes. The tier will be listed in the table at the top of the page.

Click Advanced settings and open the Sales & Support section to change the tier. Remember to save your changes when you’re done.

Setting a maximum company tier
By setting a maximum company tier on a permission group, you can restrict users with that permission group from accessing Dashboards above a certain tier level.
To view or update a permission group’s maximum company tier:
- From the Admin Dashboard, go to Settings > Users & Permissions > Permission Groups
- Click Edit next to the permission group you want to change
- Select Conditions and choose a maximum company tier
- Click Save

The maximum company tier will be applied to all users who have that permission group set as their Admin group:

Example: If an admin permission group has a max company tier of 3, users with that group will be able to view any Tier 1, 2, or 3 companies. However, they will not be able to view Tier 4 or 5 companies, or companies without a tier assigned.
Notes
Companies with no tier will not be visible to users who have a max company tier assigned.
When there is no max company tier on a permission group, users with that permission group will have access to all Dashboards, including those with no tier.
Admin users with a max company tier can create new companies of the same tier or less. Only Admins with no max tier can create a company with no tier.
Affiliate-related notes
Only users with no maximum tier can create channel mappings.
Admins without access to a partner of an affiliate will be able to see that partner in the partners list, the calendar, and legacy reports, but they will not be able to take any actions.
Admins without access to an affiliate of a charter company will still be able to tag that affiliate on a booking, create agents and desks on that affiliate, and report on bookings tagged with that affiliate.
