API Partner Glossary
Last updated: June 25, 2025
The API Partner Glossary is an internal resource for FareHarbor teams to gain a better understanding of who our API partners are, how each of our API partners is integrated with FareHarbor, and which of them are on FareHarbor Connect.
If you want to share information about our API Partners externally with a client, here is a link to the API Partner Directory client-facing help page.
If you want to add any information or notes about a current partner listed in this help page, go to #strategicpartners-affiliates Slack channel, navigate to the bookmarks Workflow folder to the top of the channel and fill out the New Info: API Partners workflow.
Stay up to date about new API Partners with the API Partner Changelog.
If you would like to suggest a potential API on behalf of a lead/client, please fill out the Strategic Partnerships Inquiry Form.
If you have questions about API partners, go to #strategicpartners-affiliates Slack channel and submit your question using the workflows.

API Types:
- External API: Partner develops the connection and pulls inventory, availability, and sometimes pricing from FareHarbor. Bookings made through the External API will go into the FareHarbor dashboard. Mappings are not managed in FareHarbor, meaning that the Partner is building the API connection from their side and integrates to our system. For questions about External API connections that are already live, please tag
@connectivity_teamin the #connectivity Slack channel. For questions about External API connections that are not yet live, please tag@strategic-partnershipsin the #strategicpartners-affiliates Slack channel. - Channel API: FareHarbor develops the connection, and connects to what the channel partner has listed on their platform. All bookings from channel partners will flow into FareHarbor in RealTime. All mappings and connections are maintained in FareHarbor. For questions about Channel API connections, please tag
@connectivity_teamin the #connectivity Slack channel.
Note: If you need to forward an email to the Connectivity Team, you can forward it to support@fareharbor.com with ATTN: Connectivity Team in the subject of the email and it will bypass the support inbox and go right to the Connectivity team. If you don’t have an email to forward, use this form for new requests.
Check out this help page to see which clients are live on each Channel API.
Partners with direct connection to the FareHarbor API
All current API Partners that have a direct connection to the FH API are shown in this Airtable view. The table contains partner’s overview, website, Dashboard URL, type, capabilities, region, and notes.
Partners with connection via Channel Manager
Channel Managers are third-party systems that connect Distribution Partners to FareHarbor without requiring the partner to connect to FareHarbor’s API directly. We prefer partners to connect to FareHarbor’s API directly, however sometimes they do not have the resources to connect to multiple reservation systems, and go the route of a third-party Channel Manager instead. You can read more about Channel Managers in this help page.
Technical Setup
- For Channel Managers, you will add the actual affiliate that distributes the tours to the charter dashboard. That affiliate dashboard should have an API key that allows the Channel Manager to access the products. For example, Ventrata is a Channel Manager that City Connect uses to access tours. You would add City Connect to the charter dashboard. Ventrata has an API Key on the City Connect dashboard that allows them to ingest products and pass them to City Connect.
Partners using FH External API to pull content but resell through FHDN
External API/FHDN Combo integration – an affiliate can connect to our External API while reselling tours and activities through the FareHarbor Distribution Network (FHDN). The API access we grant to FHDN affiliates blocks them from reselling through the API, but allows them to pull content from the API. These types of integrations are indicated throughout this page. If you want to learn more about the External API/FHDN integration, please visit this help page. Below you can browse through some of the affiliates that have this type of setup.
